He has worked hard to promote the sport he loves, ice hockey her in Hull. At the end of last season the Stingrays presented Matt with a shirt signed by the whole team for his reports. Hull came out all guns blazing and should have come out of the first period with at least a one goal advantage. Early in the second period, Simon Leech served a two minute penalty for high sticks. 	Fife Flyers won the FBNL league championship with a four goals to three win over Hull Stingrays after overtime. The first period was end to end but neither team managed to find the back of the net despite both teams having five on three power plays.
