This is Hull

The East Yorkshire city of Kingston Upon Hull has it's fair share of bad press. That's OK, the people who live here know why so many come and stay!

Visit the City and sample the eclectic mix of entertainment on offer, from the laid-back coffee shops and cosmopolitan bars of the Avenues area, to some of the country's top club nights in the city centre.

The all-new KC Stadium is already attracting some big names in live music, and Hull's own world-renowned DJ's from Pork Recordings and Fila Brazillia play venues around the city most weeks.
The Ferensway development and Riverside are both undergoing multi-million pound regeneration projects to update the city centre, and the BBC are moving in with a BBC of The North building in the centrally located Queens Gardens.

Kingston Upon Hull remains one of the cheapest Cities in the country to invest in real estate, although prices are soaring for particular areas, and the surrounding East Riding of Yorkshire is part of the fastest growing property boom in the country, with prices still shooting up despite a downturn in the market elsewhere in the country.

Places to Visit - A day by the beach - Bridlington Harbour.
This Sunday I was spoilt for choice - either to visit a Buddhist centre in "Kilham" or attend a strawberries and cream party. Opted to go and find Zen so duly arrived with my offspring (Katie and Oliver) at my friend's house (Cilla) punctually (for a change) at 11.30. Read more...
