I went down to Bob Carvers to sample some of the best Patty and Chips I have ever had, we investigate this historic Chip Stall here..

New technology brings progress, or so they say, but when it comes to chips it's the good old fashioned way that wins hands down. Forget gas and electric its a coke fired oven that delivers the goods.

This is Robert Carver senior doing the hard graft. "They used to use coal in the old days, but with all the fumes and smoke it all went to coke." explains Barry a long time customer.

On the right picture is Carol Carver next to Tracy Moody. Carol and her husband Bob are from Hull and have been running the stall for 23 years.
"We have seven girls serving working, with Sharon and son in law Robert doing the frying." Says Carol. I had Patty, Chips and mushy peas and I really was impressed, those chips are just fantastic.

He felt overjoyed to be finally going home - the days seemed to be getting longer and longer and longer - even though home, to Harry, was only marginally more bearable than work.

The time was 7.30 am and I was already awake. Liz stirred as I crept out of
the caravan without waking Alex and Anna. From our elevated position overlooking the bay,
the Med looked as calm as a millpond. The panoramic view was stunning as usual.
