Hull Fair 2003

Maintenance time   prev, Gallery Page 1
A short walk around leads the eye skyward to maintenance work going on.

The dodgems and carousel looking ready for today's polish up, both have stood the test of time and remain popular favourites in the fair..

Now this baby is called "The Frisby", it arrived in from Nottingham all 65 tonnes of her and it takes 2 lorries to transport. Right now its time for a grease up.

Steady Now. The "Big Ben Tower" and "Magic Mouse" are also run by James Mellors, the fourth generation of the family managing these magnificent machines."This ones just come in from Dubai, although they also visit Fairs in England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Belgium, Holland and United Arab Emirates" says James. Checkout Jameses website www.jamesmellors.com.

I'd like to find out what this ones called maybe slingshot as you get slung skyward at high speed for a bungee type return for a mere 15 quid a go.
