Sports - Hull Stingrays vs Guildford Flames -
12 September 2004 By Matt
Tonight The Stingrays where host to the Guildford Flames in their first game against FBNL opposition and not much has changed since last season. The Stingrays took the lead; the refereeing was awful and yes, Hull then threw the lead away. Kahut opened the scoring for The Flames just before the 10 minute mark Read more...

Sports - Fast Electric Radio Control Model Boats
By Stuart Batley
For some years now I've been going through the motions, like most model enthusiasts do, buying in turn boats, planes, cars, heli's (both IC and electric) but most settle down to one, mine's 'fast electric boats'. I first started by buying an ARTR kit from my local 'Hobby Stores' and then off to the lake and join the club there. On arrival I was taken aback by the speed of some of the hydro type boats, whizzing by. Read more...

Sports - 2004 Beverley Annual 10k Race and Fun Run By Mo
On a beautiful, sunny Sunday morning May 16th, I headed off to the Beverley Annual 10k run to capture some photographs and do my best to find a racer who may write about the experience to accompany them. Clearly as it's me writing this I was unsuccessful, maybe next year, so you'll have to put up with my scribbling of the day. Read more...

Sports Football - Farewell 2 Division 3 By Nicholas Boldock
It may have taken nineteen years to come along, but Hull City's promotion party was a celebration well worth the wait, and one that will be remembered for a long time yet. The official festivities may not have started until the day of the final league game against Bristol Rovers, but for City fans Read more...

Sports - Great Britain v Australia - 15/11/03 KC Stadium
By Nick Quantrill
Wow, this was sport! I'm not normally a huge fan of rugby league. My interest in playing the game ended when I lost a front tooth in a school 'friendly'. Nowadays, I tend to favour games in which you can predict the bounce of the ball. This game was special though; huge even, and what's more, it was being played in Hull by a Great Britain team Read more...

Sports - Hull Stingrays vs. Newcastle Vipers - 22nd Feb 2004
By Matt with Video AVI's of The Game Hull Stingrays lost their sixth game in a row with a 4-2 loss at home to a short-benched Newcastle Vipers. In a fairly boring first period the Vipers took advantage of a wide gap outright and Wallace finished of a Longstaff pass with 12.10 gone in the game. Read more...

Sports - Take Me to the River - Carp Anglers by Mo
I am an amateur angler, mostly river fishing as a youth at a time when televisions were black and white. I was 14 maybe, I had my own rods (3) and tackle, a selection of floats, some ledger weights, hooks and line, all kept in our shed alongside my recent purchase of maggots. I always took great pleasure in seeing my four sisters scream and run at the sight of these little yellow .. Read more...

Sports - Hull Stingrays vs. Edinburgh Capitals - 9th Feb 2004
By Matt with Video AVI's of The Game
Hull Stingrays followed up their 2-2 draw with Bracknell the previous night with a 5-1 defeat against Edinburgh Capitals. If lady luck had been on Hulls side the result could have been very different. They had a bag full of chances but Kundra did extremely well to keep Hull down to only one goal. Edinbrough opened the scoring after almost.. Read more...

Sports - Hull Stingrays vs. Fife Flyers - 7 Dec 2003
By Matt with 5 Video AVI's of The Game
The Stingrays failed to follow up their 4-2 win yesterday against Dundee as they lost 3-1 to the Fife Flyers. Hull came out looking much like the same team that sent Dundee packing the night before and took the lead after 19 minutes and ten minutes when Alipov struck home. Read more...

Sports Football - The Scarborough Warning
By Patrick Henry
Scarborough F.C. are at home to mighty Chelsea in the 4th round of the FA. Cup on Saturday, January 24th. Before anybody laughs at the idea of these minnows reaching victory, it should be remembered that we knocked out Chelsea from the League Cup on our ground in 1989. Then Chelsea had stood top of the whole League, before the Premiership existed, and Scarborough played in Division Four a brief period. Read more...
