The Hell-ection - King Rats Common Sense Guide to The Bastards in Charge Next Page,

Hear ye, hear ye, election time is upon us again. Inspiring speeches thought provoking debates, radical policies for the good of mankind, or who the hell do I vote for?

2pence on lesbians 1pence on fags, wasn't that Dalek episode good! Yes citizens I am as bemused as you, so let's delve into the partisan tribes that inhabit Westminster and smell their undies.

LABOUR
Like so many of my ilk I have been a staunch supporter of the labour party all my inconsiderate life. My father's labour, his father was labour, his father's father was labour, his father's father's one cell organism was labour, my mother was in labour and so on. Voting for me at 18 was a cert thing;
Blair was my master and I his acolyte. But now what's a man to do? I'm no lily livered state sponging reclaim the streets troglodyte but the war in Iraq had my hackles up.

Bugger Saddam, bugger al quaeda, but there has to be more than one way to skin a fascist. Yes the economy's strong and I'm still in a job but what's that if you live in an illiterate nation run by juvenile delinquents reminiscent of beyond thunderdome. Labour gets a maybe.

CONSERVATIVE
Howard appears on the screen, I recite the lord's prayer. I hate them, I hate them, I hate them. I'd rather chew pieces of reject lego caked in the shit of an American sumo wrestler than sacrifice the last of my sanity.
They are the remainder of the past; of large stomached dining on roast peasant. They are cricket, they are snobbery, they are cold-hearted hedonists, they are destroyers of unions, equality and the working class, they are James Bond. NO! Not until Satan himself lets loose on my anus (may I remark at this point I am neither a gay or a satanist).

LIBERAL DEMOCRATS

Yawnnnnn!!!
GREEN PARTY

I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike, I want to ride my bicycle, I want..... What about the economy and the principles of social improvement?? Bless their little fair trade cotton socks.
Believe it or not I voted for the green party last council elections. Why?? I assume you ask, maybe it was voter apathy of a defunct democracy, maybe it was their friendly approach to campaigning, maybe it was Asda scotch. The greenies are so devoid of power that it hasn't yet had the chance to corrupt em. No matter how radical and beneficial their earth saving ideas are they have no chance of influence thus are resigned to the protest vote.
BNP

Hmmm, nice plans to combat the urban drugs problem on our streets at the root of the matter, shame about the nigger hating jew baiting thinly veiled nazi policies. One purpose these para-poli-thugs do serve though, it's nice to see other politicians squirming over who has to stand next to them at the result announcement.

Current Affairs - Colin Powell - Saint or War Criminal?
By Martin Deane
After the near beatification of Ronald Reagan recently, it falls to the peace movement to do the honours once again on the occasion of Colin Powell's recent resignation. Colin Powell was the official moderate, and national security adviser, under Reagan. Let's take Africa. During the Reagan years, there was a policy called Read more...

Current Affairs - Burning Issues - Was 9/11 the greatest show on earth? By Martin Deane.
The War on Terror is based on the premise that the 2001 9/11 attacks on New York and Washingotn, which killed nearly 3,000 people were carried out by 19 Islamic fundamentalist men. The official story has been played in such detail throughout our media that we will all know it. But the facts could be - and probably Read more...

Current Affairs - Does intelligence help us?
By Robin Ramsay.
Michael Moore's film Fahrenheit-9/11 is great propaganda but, like all propaganda, it isn't about the truth. In a section mocking the so-called "Coalition of the willing" which supported the US invasion of Iraq, Moore listed several very small countries - but omitted Australia, the UK and others. For Australia Read more...

Current Affairs - International Contradictions and Hypocrisies By Andrew Martin
After reading the British government's pre-war dossiers on WMDs anyone with the slightest hint of intelligence would have concluded that the ability of Iraq to pose a serious threat to the world was minimal. The evidence in these documents was thin, Read more...

Current Affairs - In Reply To - A letter from Pablo Gonzales to his MP Alan Johnson, By Rt Hon Alan Johnson MP.
Dear Mr Gonzalez, Thank you for your thoughtful and considered letter of 17th July. I have thought constantly about the decision I made to vote for this country to go to war on March 18th 2003. It was of course the first time that a decision to go to war had not been made by royal prerogative. Read more...

By Louise, Greenpeace, Hull.
On Saturday 17th July activists from Hull joined campaigners from all over the region to converge on Sainsburys in Sunderland. Current Affairs - Tony Blair lives, David Kelly dies
By Martin Deane
Lord Hutton was chosen by Blair. Lord Hutton was given his brief by Blair. Lord Hutton has whitewashed the Government and scapegoated the BBC. Blair conned us to go to war and the Hutton Report is a smokescreen. Hutton was a major event in itself, but the real issue is - and remains - responsibility for war. Today no blame Read more...

Current Affairs - America - no magic rabbit to pull out of the Iraqi hat By Martin Deane
I heard a story recently. A Labour MP met with Blair over Iraq. Tony asked how things were in his constituency. He replied "I've had 3 letters in support of the war - and 350 against!" Blair, unfazed, said "Don't worry, the people will forget once the war is over." We want UK troops out of Iraq. Get them out. Bring them home. End this monstrosity of lending Read more...
