Super Escape

By Rich Mills

Inject the god that makes me whole.
That's why I need a drug that hugs my soul.

Brief clarity before dirty wind drags me all about.
Mind now numb no longer able to dictate a verbal doubt.

Perpetuate the cycle of drugs debt and depression.
Quit today, stop tomorrow, take a life on short term borrow.

Monsoon mother on the way, just for interest from far away.
Overcome the meltdown, climb out of the bag don't want to drown.

Clear in thought and deed, to return control to us is what we need.
To get away from the influence now clearly makes such logical sense.

Needle Whore

By Rich Mills

Down the corridor and through the door,
Lives nothing more than a needle whore.

Wet dream comforts a planned escape,
Gives not a fuck for a childhood raped.

Song lyrics full of false metaphor,
One step beyond psychological war.

Keep denying what yourself you tell,
That things are all going good and well.

In a jar by the bed a scene of drug lust,
Full to the top with plastic and rust.

One day soon I hope you break the spell,
Before it all catches up and you go to hell.

Holidays - Cyprus by Petra
One dismal Monday afternoon I was sitting in the pub with my neighbour David, bemoaning the weather and feeling miserable, when David uttered the immortal words "let's go on holiday". Quicker than you can say " Linford Christie" we were at the travel agents choosing our destination. Read more...

Interviews Will Self
Tuesday 17th of June saw the excellent arrival into Hull of the delightful satirical journalist and dryer than arrid anti-perspirant Will Self. The man himself graced around 250 eager punters at the Pave cafe bar on Princes Avenue at 6.45 p.m.. And guess who was lucky enough to have a prime seat by the stage window with the Kronenbourg flowing effortlessly and the company in keep, divine?!.

By Suzanne

When someone mentions Glastonbury, what do you think of? Long-haired hippies in tie-dyed shirts smoking pot; a musical marathon; a mud bath?
