Learn to speak 'ULL

Poetry
Care less?
By Lee Cassanell

In the heat of the night by a lavary light there's a silvery moon on the rise,
But this bottle of rum needs the breath of the sun to blow sequins of sin from his eyes.

For the life that he leads is corroded by deeds and desires that man should ignore,
And you can't reach the top if you're pissed on the pop and laid drunken and stoned on the floor.

At the break of the dawn by the fire on the lawn sits a gaggle of hippies and whores,
Chewing ecstasy pips with a smile on their lips and a plasticine love in their drawers.
They'll be flying like kites when reality bites and the beast of the morning rides in,
When the drugs start to flake and their hands start to shake like an alki who's run out of gin.

In the midst of the smoke on a summery day there's a feeling of dread in the grass,
All these children of dope haven't prayer or a hope spending most of their time on their ass.

But you do what you can and you might give a damn if it wasn't so tiring to speak..
So it's sunshine and skunk
Let's get high
Let's get drunk

There's still seven day's left in the week..

No Matter
By Lee Cassanell

No matter what you do
No matter who you are,
No matter if you play the fool or even play guitar.

No matter if you talk to trees and they don't answer back,
No matter if your Girlfriend leaves or you don't pot the black,

No matter if hair falls out or turns a shade of grey,

No matter
It don't matter
It don't matter Anyway.
No matter what you think
No matter what you know,
No matter if you lose your heart or even sell your soul.

No matter if you pray to Gods or cross the palm of fate,
No matter if it's Friday night and you can't find a date,

No matter if the sunshine isn't coming out to play,

No matter
It don't matter
It don't matter anyway.
No matter what you want
No matter what you have,
No matter if you own a car or even own a calf.

No matter If you live in sin but never dwell in guilt,
No matter If you've fallen down and all your milk is split,

No matter if you think the world has turned on you today,

No matter
It don't matter
It don't matter anyway.
No matter what you see
No matter what you hear,
No matter if you've got the faith or even got the fear.

No matter If you love yourself but hate your way of life,
No matter if you lose the kids
The house!
The Job!
The Wife!

No matter if you're slowly running out of things to say.

No Matter
It don't matter
It don't matter anyway.

Poetry - Do Not Depend on the Wind By Maurice Fairfield
Do not depend on the wind,
many a sailor and miller has found
A grave in the wave a grave in the ground
In waiting for wind.

Do not depend on the rain,
Pleasure and pain,
Harrowing loss, empty gain Read more...

Poetry - I Shan't Be There Anymore by Michelle Dee.
Forgotten now are the fairies and
fantasies, the magic and mysteries
Brush the glitter
from my eyes so sore.
I shan't be there anymore
The garden the swings, a child's
playthings, a chance for fun
in the hazy summer sun. Read more...

Poetry - Rosedale Chimney Hill By
Maurice Fairfield.
Long ago in a different time
The World seemed bright and shiny new.
My chin still wore downy fuzz,
My eyes saw clearly, straight and true.
Though money was scarce I had my share
Of strengths and skills, and loads to bear
Could never crush inside my heart,
The love of life abiding there. Read more...

Poetry - Void By Darren Sant
"Where am I?"
Blackness. The absence of sound and light.
A non-entity floating in an inky void.
"Is anybody out there?"
Silence. Complete and utter nothingness.
Emptiness vast and lonely.
"Please answer me."

Poetry - When You're Ready and Resolve By Steve Rudd
We made a pact
At the last filling station
Interstate M62..
I was so proud of you
You'd never normally say boo..
Who drove you to rebel?

Poetry - Demons by Shelly D.
She wants a tattoo but really
at my age and a nipple pierced,
what is she thinking.
She got out again last night
always running away oh to be free
What will she do this time

Poetry - Journeyman By Patrick Henry
His learning class sank down the pits so deep as hell
Anyone expects from graft being a penance in the earth
To cut out coal black as mortal sin which burns
To fire steam force and make that world power work. He lit out from there to war abroad: the tender flame
Of raw youth blown out close by where his chance survived.. Read more...

Poetry - Hangin' Around & The You and Me Poem
By Jane Foster
In gangs we trawled the wet streets, alive with possibilities,
The smell of fresh rain and freedom in our noses.
How come they always say that we didn't have much,
When so much open space was ours?
