Poetry
In the Blink Of An Eye contd
By Lee Cassanell
Prev Page

Pink morning
Tea calling
Cake already here,

The ball hits the net
And the ball watchers cheer

Flag waving

Fag craving

He's making

A scene

You're prowling around
But the pickings are lean.

Gum chewing
Friend screwing
The suit with the ties,

Hard to miss it
Thoughts illicit
In the blink of an eye
God loving
Sweet nothing
Sour memories forgotten,

She's Gucci and silk
To your Levis and cotton

Heart stealing

Slow breathing

So sexy

And calm

The flowers were cheap
But they worked like a charm.

Highs withered
Fogs cleared
Faith rains from the sky

Life's potent...

Every moment...

In the blink of an eye...
