Perfection.
By Lee Cassanell

Your patience for passion
Is long out of fashion
You're thirsty for women and song,

She's taking forever
But get it together
The line of this life is so long.

No point getting bluesy
You've never been choosy
So why are you waiting for signs?

Don't play the Mad Hatter
The past doesn't matter
And nor do your romantic crimes.

It's all in your head son
You won't be the last one
To feel like you've never been kissed,

You're seeking perfection
I think you should question
If that lady even exists...
Embrace what you're feeling
Your mind is competing
With all that you're big heart desires,

She's pretty as peaches
As sun dappled beaches
So don't you believe all the liars

If she doesn't want you
Then blame it on fortune
Don't say it's your burden or fate,

She's too blind to notice
And you are too hopeless
To ask the girl out for a date,

It's all in the eyes son
You won't be the first one
To think that with her you'll find bliss,

If she is perfection
Then take my suggestion
And tell her you cannot resist.
It's all hard to swallow
A rough road to follow
A subject so bitter and sore,

You're sad when your sober
But don't be a joker
It's not like you've not loved before.

You smile when she hears you
You laugh when she's near you
Your soul it explodes when she sings,

Her beauty is weightless
She's destined for greatness
And you're bound for much better things

Cast off your disguise son
You must realise son
It doesn't get better than this,

She's by far the best one
As close to perfection
As anything else that exists...
