Learn to speak 'ULL

Poetry
AND IT SHALL COME TO PASS..
By Ken Hartford

If I admit responsibility
For the life that comes my way,
Then I feel I own my body,
But that is just to say
I take my responsibility
For giving it some care
And that might apply to everyone
And to everything everywhere.

It will become my privilege
To serve as best I can
Every child and every woman
As well as every man.
And that is why I'm living
With Creation as a whole,
So possession leads to passing
To a child to own their goal.

For owning is possessing
For a short time on this earth;
Just possibly a hundred years
To obscurity from birth,
But in that time a child becomes
An essential of the whole,
Passing on the gift of life
As the horse does to the foal.

So do not waste your talents Whatever they may be,
For it will come to pass that they
May well be given free
To care about another's life
Less fortunate than yours,
For every day there comes a time
To find some open doors

Which lead to opportunities
To own, not just possess;
To recognize when asked to act
The answer could be "Yes".
The choice may be to pass or keep;
Possess or give away.
So, is it best to die next year,
Or choose to live today?

Poetry - Spirit of Woody Guthrie
By Patrick Henry
These voices rising to a tremulous high C.,
Sad as a song created by old Woody G.,
Who long searched the home of the brave for the land of the free,
But found it's only left deep inside you and me.

Poetry - "I'm Doing Life", by Shelly D.
I don't do happy,
I don't do laughter,
I'm not easy going or relaxed,
I'm not careful or carefree,
I don't go with the flow I'm not laid back,
I'm doing life.

Poetry - The Egotist By Cilla

I'm sure that you would.
And why not be friends?
You're so good for me
But only when you tell
What I want to see .. Read more...

Poetry - Equal Amongst Giants (Edinburgh Literature Festival) and Night Driving in American Werewolf Country.
by Oz Hardwick
I paid my money, listened attentively,
clapped politely, filed out slowly,
stood (vaguely embarrassed), waited in line
with book at the ready to meet The Author.
I asked him to sign my favourite chapter,

Poetry - Girls (for Rebecca and Ellen) and Pilot
By Nigel Walker
Girls, girls
slow down !
I don't know what to write.
It will take one hundred hours

just to say how I feel about
the sound of your feet on the stairs.
Each morning you are a fresh oyster prised.
The crash of tsunami. The prow of a hunting ship.

Poetry - This is 'ull, not Manhattan

This is 'ull, not Manhattan.
Where you could feed a whole family of six

For half the price of a Jimmy Choo shoe.
