Trainspotting
By Daphne Liver Age 16

My life chugs along
on a rusty circular track
stopping and starting every five minutes.
I spend my wednesdays on a wet and windy platform
keeping my eyes peeled
for various different types of train:

Some are express and
overlook my stop-
they continue north at 80 miles per hour,
their carriages are over crowded.

Some travel backwards
and stop every now and then
so that the driver may drink his tea.

Occasionally,
somewhere down the line,
one will crash headlong into a wall-
like a train of thought
that is interrupted
and forgotten.

These are unlike my train,
the 01482
which stops at every stop
in the hope that it may gain a passenger;
(it seldom ever does- for even I forget to board sometimes)
It runs on the Life Line
and is likened to my own-
for it arrives at the same place
that it departs from
Just like me.

Poetry - I'm Sorry Once Again. By Amy, 16
I'm sorry if I ever made you unhappy
I'm sorry that I ever made you cry.
I did it all unintentionally.
I didn't mean to lie.
I'm sorry if you ever thought I wasn't there for you
I'm sorry that it took me this long to see Read more...

Kids Articles - Fisher Park By Richard Clancy, Kayleigh Gouldson and Taking Pictures By Kyle
I went to Fisher Park to make a film and take photographs of the local area. I think that the graffiti on Fisher park 'sucks' because graffiti is horrible. It makes the area look worse than it already is. I like living on Orchard Park, but it doesn't look very nice. The older youths in the area make it worse with all the graffiti they spray all over the place. Read more...
