Night And Day
By Elsie Creek and Michelle Dee
|
Mine is the night
When stars and moon
Hide away; turn their faces
To the clouds
No reflected light
Not a sound
In this: my place
Of darkness, total
Complete and utter
Where nothingness rules
I am she
Naught but her
Wild and free
My space; my place
I can be
Unconstrained
My melody
My refrain
Is empty.
|
|
Mine is the day
Bright and free
Where bird song fly
Sweet melody, ring
Out and call to the
Height of the sun
Glare on my face
Burn my skin; dreams fulfilled
A far away place
I am she who dances delight
Chases away night, rejoice
In the calmness of day
Sober minds and bulging eyes
Combine with comfy shoes
Purses to lose.
Falling clouds falling grey
'tis over end of day
She returns
I hear her.

I don't need Tony Blair to help me,
I don't want a new deal.
I'm happy just the way I am,
I don't need to steal,

I'm not a slob.

Poetry - A Slave to the Poison By Darren Sant

Rotten, stinking but irresistible,
Hemlock disguised as nectar,
Venus flytrap for the soul,
Let the good times roll,
Forsaking all others as you go.
Slave to the poison

Poetry - The Bastard and the Bunny Girl by Lee Cassanell

1am in the grass with a fist of Tequila
Four eyes on the sky say a prayer to the dealer
A tooth in my pocket,
The truth in her lips
That sang blooded from trips to the pavement
2am in the dark with a lung of Tobacco

Poetry - The Joy of Filth and Squalor By Space Tart

They say that cleaning's the new rock 'n' roll,
You can scrub your way into a man's soul.
How clean is your house? How neat is your garden?
Do dusters and Marigolds give you a hard on?
But rock 'n' roll's filthy, not shiny and neat

I think that you might hate me, I'm so tired I don't care.
