The Crude Politics Of Petropublicans And Democradicals And Indepundits
By Del Abe Jones

Where do we get these people
Who fight new energy
Then, raise the price of oil
For their greedy industry?

Where do we get these people
Who build the cars we drive
Who fight new mileage standards
And things that might keep us alive?

Where do we get these people
Who, once customers came first
Who only want to rip you off
Buyer beware, their curse?
Where do we get these people
Who think fair trade a must
With poisons in those products
They ask us all to trust?

Where do we get these people
Who swore a vow to heal
Who now think that their license
Gives them the right to steal?

Where do we get these people
Who search for new remedies
But they too, have greed
Like it's some plague/disease?
Where do we get these people
Who can afford to get ill
Who don't care about the rest
Who can't pay for that bitter pill?

Where do we get these people
Who are rich, beyond compare
Who will never have enough
And who never seem to share?

Where do we get these people
Who thought sports, a fair game
While now, most all are cheaters
And seem to have no shame?
Where do we get these people
Who get paid not to farm
Making the rich, richer
Causing the real farmers harm?

Where do we get these people
Who are the self-appointed, experts
Who pass out their advice
That more often than not, hurts?

Where do we get these people
Who use religion's way
To molest innocent children
And caught, never seem to pay?
Where do we get these people
Who say their god is the best
Who say if we don't believe
We won't pass that final test?

Where do we get these people
Who don't like the Christmas name
To be politically correct
In such a dumb, asinine game?

Where do we get these people
Who make smoking pot a crime
Instead of going after dealers
Who sell the real drugs of our time?
Where do we get these people
Who swore to protect and serve
Who'd now, as soon shoot you
Than read rights, we all deserve?

Where do we get these people
Who used to really care
Who used to be honest
And tried to do what's fair?

Where do we get these people
Who are the bosses of today
Who want you to work twice as hard
For only one half of the pay?
Where do we get these people
Who work alongside of you
Who talk of you behind your back
And will stab you, there, too?

Where do we get these people
Who come here illegally
Who have more free benefits
Paid for by you and me?

Where do we get these people
Who don't work a single day
And no longer have to stand in line
To collect their welfare pay?
Where do we get these people
In our Homeland Security
And those ones in FEMA
Who watch out (?) for you and me?

Where do we get these people
Who made all those stupid loans
So that millions of families
Might end up losing their homes?

Where do we get these people
Who swear to protect our Constitution
Who try to usurp those Rights
With traitorous resolution?
Where do we get these people
Who once represented us
Who now, sell us out
Once they have won our trust?

Where do we get these people
Who run the Fed Reserve
Who control our money
More trust than they deserve?

Where do we get these people
Who tax all that we earn
When there is no law
To say we must file a return?
Where do we get these people
Who Judge in our Courts
Who replaced the Rule of Law
With their own lawless retorts?

Where do we get these people
Who want to rule us all
Who want to take our freedoms
And see our Country fall?

Where do we get these people
Who think that torture is fair
Who say,"We don't do it here!
We send them over there!"?
Where do we get these people
Who send others off to war
Who keep their own safe at home
Who think the fight is for the poor?

Where do we get these people
Who are the war profiteers
Who make their blood money
From other peoples fears?

And where do we get these people
Who would let this World end
Rather than cut into their profits
That seems to be the trend?

Poetry - Display By Katherine Horrex
The night is cannon-pocked, illuminated
