Marriage
By Darren Sant

You can't be happy forever,
Are you barking mad?
Have you lost your senses?
Is what I hear.

May be a pagan ritual,
May be a formal ceremony,
Could be a religious bond,
Possibly a connection with God.

Whatever the pathway,
However I arrive,
This strange union is my destiny,
Will the journey truly begin?

Signified with a ring,
Silencing dissenting voices,
I remain happy with my choices,
Yes, I do take this woman.

Boredom
By Darren Sant

So my son you're feeling bored,
Can you see that rainbow over yonder?
What is the meaning of life? Do ponder,
Listen to a haunting melody,
Admire the curves of the lovely Melony,
Watch a cat as it simply walks,
Observe two people as they talk,
Listen to this old fart ramble on,
Make love out in a wood,
Take the time to do some good,
Enrich your life study yourself,
Wonder about being left on the shelf,
Care about your mental health,
Sit and watch a sunset,
Smile as you see the sun rise,
Believe the evidence of your own eyes,
Whatever you do my son,
Please don't be bored.
