Poetry
Xmas 2004 By Anonymous

It's August, but the adverts already bawl,
Come, consume this festive Yule!
Why be different? Follow that trend,
And get to the shops to spend, Spend, SPEND!
To get the kids something fantastic,
Don't stress with wonga, just flash ya plastic.

Santa's wallet is deep and his heart huge,
And the kids won't accept your subterfuge,
They want that toy made most fashionable,
By a child-employing multi-national,
With numerous accessories it'll be a smash,
Whilst draining the dregs of ya dwindling cash.
You can bring joy, don't just fudge it,,
With a safe and affordable, retail budget,
Money can't buy you love, or so they say,
But let's not take chances come Christmas Day,
For the one showered with most affection,
Is the one giving the bestest prezzie selection.

All the gifts now bought, but make sure your set,
For the postie strugglin' with ya sack of debt.
Your hair turns white, and ya feel quite ill,
As ya slowly focus on ya credit card bill,
And from ya eye, wells a tear,
A slave to the bank for yet another year!

Love, Light, Laughter n Latitude!
Hope you enjoyed ya Solstice
And a Hoopy New Year to One n All!
Love ya Buddha 23

Poetry - A Case of Silly String and Whatever Next
By Steve Rudd
Money is the root of all evil,
A positive thought that's not shared is a waste.

Insecurity is so simple to evade.
If you give me a dollar I'll trade it for a book,
Second hand glances deflect scathing good looks. Read more...
