An Interview With Carol Ann Kerry-Green (Arthur C. Clarke Judge) (2/2)
By Lynne Taylor
|
(1/2),
(2/2).
|
I hear you have to go up to London when it gets to this stage.
Yes. We have a shortlist meeting in January held at the Science Museum.
The meeting goes on for several hours as we decide on the final six.
That must be difficult?
|
|
|
Well we all have our favourites but we finally manage it.
Then we go away and read the short-listed six before we meet again in May.
Which is when we announce the winner.
|
|
And where is the Award held?
This year they were held at the English Lecture Theatre in London and China Miéville
was the winner with his book Iron Council, he won't mind me saying that he was
genuinely surprised in the nicest way, but he's a nice guy as well as being a fantastic writer.
It's a great day with publishers, writers and reviewers...
Despite the work you have to put in you sound like you'll be sad for it to end.

points individually, knowing that they speak for the band as a whole.
Acting as spokesman Lloyd says What I fuckin' hate about music magazines is
