Ellie Beill - Move In Direct

My name is Ellie Beill. When asked by thisisUll.com to write an article on myself I was unsure. But here goes ...

The property market has always fascinated me. I think it comes from moving house eight times before I was 18 (that averages a move every 2.25 years!). So I guess it must be genetic ... At only 26, I'm just about to move into the fourth house I've owned.
My family's first home was in Airmyn Avenue, off Boothferry Road, Hull. It's close to the old home of the other passion in my life - Hull City. My whole family is Hull City mad. My brother runs www.HullCityOnline.com, and my mum and dad are committee members of the Tigers Co-operative. We've all been South Stand season ticket holders together for nine years (my parents go a long way further back than that!).

But back to my obsession with property ...
Family house moves have taken me to Derby, Maidstone and back to East Yorkshire (twice). At the moment, I live just off Chanterlands Avenue - but not for long!

I've just sold this house and I'm moving round the corner onto Princes Avenue (it's closer to Pave). Moving house is an expensive habit, with unavoidable costs - especially from solicitors. But I've found other costs are avoidable ... especially estate agent fees.
When I decided to move (again!), money was tight and I knew the property would sell itself. I didn't need to pay an estate agent over a thousand pounds to answer the phone for me. I investigated on the Internet and found there were many property websites providing an alternative to using an estate agent. However, most of them had very few properties in Hull. Some had loads of properties listed, but on closer inspection I discovered they'd been sitting there for months (or even years). The sites had not been updated. I wanted a website that would sell my home in Hull, so I created my own: www.MoveInDirect.com.

MoveInDirect provides a much cheaper alternative to using an estate agent for the homeowners of Hull and East Yorkshire. I can provide - online advertising; Hull Daily Mail advertising; Fish4homes listing; a For Sale board and a growing database of potential buyers who have registered for email updates. Practically everything an estate agent offers, but I don't take any commission from your sale price.
My sales packages start from just £10*, for a basic listing with photo on the website - add a For Sale board for just £20* - a Fish4homes listing is another £15* a month. For full details of our prices and packages see www.MoveInDirect.com.
Getting the website off the ground has taken a lot of effort, time and money. My original budget was the amount I would have spent using an estate agent to sell my home but I've at least doubled that sum. Advertising - particularly in the local press - is expensive. I'm even offering free advertising for the first 20 properties to register online, just to encourage people to give it a try, so word of mouth takes off.

So what's the catch? No catch, you can sell your home and not have to pay thousands to an estate agent (or me). I know it works. I've done it and so have others on my website already.

www.MoveInDirect.com - Sell your home privately. No agent, no commission.
