Response To Arts Council Article By The Grim Reaper

We can guess it's a guy that wrote the anonymous letter regarding Lou Duffy Howard receiving money from the Arts Council for the Grassroots festival. As a matter of fact Duffy Howard and 'Full Flava' David Okwesia set up the Grassroots thing and we all work together in making it happen to benefit the local community. So to whoever wrote the letter I would just like to say I don't think you really know what you're talking about, we deserve the money and we spend it wisely.

We have built up a good rep and last time we were on Look North they called us the Glastonbury of the North. Our festival is great and people are always raving on about it and well after it, I can't find a bad word to say about it. You jealous fu***ers, put your money or creative writing skills and set up your own like we have (5th Grassroots) and then let people slag it off and see whether it really matters what you think. To the people that read your article and the small percentage that will actually believe your jargon, its a bit like the BNP trying to recruit more people to vote using immigrants as an excuse.

Bullshit, that small percentage of people whose minds you do change we wouldn't want them rolling with the programme anyway. The real heads who know what its all about know the score and how good it is, it's them that matter. Just look at all the organisations, clubs, bars, workshops etc. Lou and Rich were very upset about it and I don't like sh*t like that said, but we are all entitled to our own opinions. All I can say is you can't hold a good man down we will shine forever so you can carry on feeling the pain and writing rubbish.
