Turbulence Magazine Out Now

The third issue of Hull-based poetry magazine Turbulence is out now. Turbulence is a small-press magazine featuring poetry from Hull and around the world.

As well as publishing many local poets, Turbulence publishes writing from across Britain and North America, India, Bulgaria, France, Italy, Australia and Iran. Poetry in issue three takes readers to Tehran, Gibraltar, Tuscany, sixteenth-century Portugal, Cambridge and Slough.
There is poetry about reading poems, advice on treating angel bites, expanding galaxies, unrequieted love, cafes, porcupines, holiday resorts, dog walkers, graffiti and much more.

Copies can be bought for £1 including postage and packaging from: A Fisher, 29 Finchley Close, Hull. HU8 0NU (cheques etc payable to 'A Fisher'). Anyone wanting to see their work in a future edition of Turbulence can send poems by email to: turbulencemagazine@googlemail.com

They f*** you up... is a special two-day event as part of the Larkin25 Festival taking place in the Studio space at Hull Truck Theatre on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd July 2010 at 8.00pm. News - Funding Support to Help Create 70 New Jobs in Hull
Panaloc Worldwide Manufacturing Ltd has relocated from Manchester to a 100,000sq ft manufacturing facility on Kingston International Business Park, with the help of economic development company Hull Forward. Regional grant funding of up to £258,000 has been secured which will enable Panaloc to develop its business in Hull, potentially creating up to 70 new full and part-time jobs in research, design, manufacturing, assembly and support.

News - Missing Hull Man - Police Appeal for Information
Police are appealing for information on the whereabouts of Alexander Spence, a missing Hull man who was last seen on Princes Avenue on a night out with friends at around 10.30pm on Saturday. Alexander is white, 5ft 7ins tall and of slim build. He has short, fair hair and was last seen wearing a blue checked short sleeved shirt, dark blue jeans and black shoes. The Government has launched a new national scheme, the Boiler Scrappage Scheme, which will help upgrade 125,000 household heating systems.
