The Momentous Launch of The Hull Connection at The History Centre, Hull - Saturday 12th February

The Hull Connection
The History Centre
Saturday 12th February 2011
2.15pm Admission Free.
A collection of at least a dozen of the brightest stars in the firmament of English poetry will be reading at the launch of a groundbreaking poetry book at The History Centre on 12th February 2011 at 2.15pm. All of the poets have a Hull Connection, some have lived in Hull all their lives all of them for a substantial chunk.

The reading will be momentous for two reasons, firstly Hull has a vast depth of exceedingly good poets and the cream of this talent, talent of the highest calibre, uniquely congregated for this landmark anthology will be performing.
Secondly, it sees the return to Hull of Nell Farrell and Dathidh MacEochaidh. Nell now lives in Sheffield. SheÕs been picking prizes up in a lot of competitions lately and has just signed a book deal with the highly regarded Poetry Business. Dathidh MaEochaidh is a brilliant and popular performer. The last time he appeared in Hull his show was a sell out performance at The Hull Literature Festival.

Also performing will be Norah Hanson, John Robinson, Robert Edric, Carol Coiffait, Jim Orwin, Andy Fletcher, Brian Connell, Mike Watts, Keith Valentine, Joe Hakim, Kate Edwards, Katie Ashworth and Tony Petch.
