Caffeine Nights Publishing Signs New Authors
|
|
Caffeine Nights Publishing is pleased to announce the signing of two
new authors to its fold. Crime fiction author, Nick Quantrill and
Neuroscience thriller author, Greg Dawe are the first signings for the
Kent based publishing company.
|
|
Quantrill's novel, Broken Dreams - a gritty
urban crime thriller set in Hull, amid a background of local government
corruption and murder, is the first novel featuring Quantrill's new private
detective, Joe Geraghty.
Greg's Neuroscience thriller, Theta Head, is the first fiction novel exploring
the science of Theta wave technology and follows the story of Georgia as she
tries to find her missing boyfriend, Ben, after he becomes ensnared in a technology cult.
As she investigates his disappearance she gets sucked into the addictive and hypnotic
world of Neurofeedback.
Both novels will be published as paperback and electronic digital versions.
|
|
'In Greg and Nick we have two new authors whose books will appeal to readers everywhere.
We are really excited to have secured the talents of two fantastic new British authors
in our first year of submissions. Caffeine Nights Publishing wants to
provide a sustainable new publishing model which utilises the best in digital
technology and is the most efficient and least wasteful way of producing
paperbacks by using Print on Demand.
'We are a small company and we want to have a different approach to both
traditional and POD publishers. We have set the bar high with Nick and
Greg and even though we received many submissions these were the only two
novels accepted this season so far.'said publisher, Darren Laws of
Caffeine Nights Publishing.
|
Darren continued; 'Our books will be available to download to mobile phones, e-Readers such as the Kindle, Sony's eReader and the BeBook, as well as direct to computers in the form of page turning eBooks.
'Our aim is to make our titles available to readers everywhere in all formats including paper, but our goal is to make sure we have a policy of only producing books where there is actual demand; therefore cutting down on unnecessary transportation, printing and wastage. We feel this is a responsible and pro-active 'environmentally friendly' approach.'
|
|
Theta Head by Greg Dawe and Broken Dreams by Nick Quantrill
will be published by Caffeine Nights Publishing late 2009.
