The next Write to Speak presents northern poets Tony Walsh and
Dennis Just Dennis at the Studio Stage at Hull Truck.
Supporting Tony and Dennis will be Hull poetry performers, Joe Hakim and Mike Watts with more of their down to earth poetry pieces.
If you've missed the previous shows, now's your chance to catch some real performances, showing you poetry like you've never seen it before. Edgy, dynamic and sometimes shocking, Write to Speak will challenge and entertain - leave your preconceptions at the door.

Tony Walsh - A confident performer with a direct, accessible style, Manchester's Tony Walsh
takes audiences on a rock and rollercoaster ride from comedy to tragedy, from the deadly serious to the seriously deadly.
Whilst published alongside Benjamin Zephaniah, Roger McGough, Simon Armitage and Adrian Mitchell, Tony has given acclaimed performances everywhere from Glastonbury Festival to The British Library, sharing billing with some of the biggest names of page and stage - everyone from Patti Smith to Carol Ann Duffy.
In March 2008, Tony was invited by The British Council to headline a national poetry slam at the Palace of Science and Culture in Warsaw, Poland. A multiple slam winner himself, last year Tony finished runner-up in The Times Cheltenham Literature Festival Uk Allstars Slam Final.

Dennis Just Dennis - An International performance poet, mixing politics, football, comedy and song in a lyrical way.
He was BBC5 Live resident poet in 2006 and performed at Glastonbury Festival in 2007. He was runner up in both the All Ireland Electric Picnic Poetry Slam and the Manchester Literature Festival in 2008 and is the first ever English winner of the Berlin Mano Poetry Slam 2009.

Peter's first attempt at writing a book, Take My Hand , is out now. Over the course of the last season Peter and his family followed the Tigers home and away.
'The book covers our historic first season in the Premier League and charts all of the games.' Although keen to point out it's not a string of match reports, Peter can't deny it's a real pro-Hull story!
