News, Arts - Take My Hand \u2013 Peter Lowsley takemyhand.jpg 120 x 180 An avid follower of Hull City and with a life-long passion for the city, Peter Lowsley decided to champion both in his own words. Peter\u2019s first attempt at writing a book, Take My Hand, is out now. Over the course of the last season Peter and his family followed the Tigers home and away. 'The book covers our historic first season in the Premier League and charts all of the games.' Although keen to point out it\u2019s not a string of match reports, Peter can\u2019t deny it\u2019s a real pro-Hull story! It\u2019s about the City, the football team, the people who live here and news that happened around Hull over the course of last season. 'We get so much bad press about Hull and although we can\u2019t argue with some of the statistics there is so much that Hull has to offer. I\u2019ve lived here all my life. I firmly believe that Hull is a decent place and the people are just great.'

Peter, a Training Advisor at BP, has been supporting Hull City since his Dad first took him to Boothferry Park when he was eight. 'I started going in the late 60's with my dad Alan and I've followed them ever since.' Peter lost his father four years ago and pays tribute to him in the book. 'The picture on the front cover is my dad when he was six. He's been a huge influence on my life and was a keen Hull City fan. I'd like to think he would approve of the book.' He added: 'It's been a long-standing ambition for me to write a book. Combining this with my team being in the top flight of football for the first time it seemed like a perfect opportunity to put pen to paper and have a go. I'm pleased with the outcome and I hope people will enjoy reading it.'
