Artlink is currently holding an exhibition called Beneath the Surface.
The exhibition is a collection of work by 14 female artists from around the
UK to mark International Women's Day.
This exhibition is Artlink's ninth annual Women's Work show, held in support
of International Women's Day. This years' exhibition has been titled Beneath
the Surface, which refers both to the layering of ideas and concept of the art
as well as the artistic process and application of mediums used to create the
work on display.
Featuring strong and diverse work by a number of women artists from around
the UK, this show supports the many female practitioners working in the field
of creative arts.
A wide-range of media and art forms are on display including photography,
film, painting, drawing, installation, sculpture and print.
The subject matter of the artwork is also as diverse - from landscape and
nature to portraiture, culture and abstraction - there is artwork on show
in Beneath the Surface to appeal to and inspire all tastes.
The exhibition will run until the 31st March and the Artlink Gallery is open
between 9am until 5pm Monday to Friday and 10am until 4pm on Saturdays for viewings.
