Hull Youth Opportunity And Capital Funds - Closing Date: Friday 1st June 07

Bids for grants from the Hull Youth Opportunity and Capital Funds can now be made for the period 1st July to 14th October 2007. Applications must be made with young people (aged 13-19yrs, to 24 additional needs). The maximum funding for the YOF is £2,500 and for the YCF is £5,000. There are some changes to last year's guidance and there is a stronger emphasis on a community/neighbourhood impact and there is encouragement for underrepresented/ target groups to apply.

Please note that there are a number of updated Equipment resources based in the geographical areas e.g. I.T. instruments, recording studio and Video editing etc funded by the Capital Fund (should be available to use by 13-19yr olds) last year and so check this out to avoid duplication and disappointment.

The closing date is Friday 1st June and decisions will be made by panels of young people for groups to be notified of success or failure by Saturday 30th June. Appeals will only be heard if there are unallocated funds remaining within the area after the 1st round.
