Further up the building the rescue party suddenly heard - boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, throughout the nearby floors. The message came through that they had 'lost 65', lost 65 floors, down to floor 44. The building was collapsing around them as they were evacuating. Then all the tube lighting broke from floor to floor as they traveled down. As William was exiting, World Trade Centre 1 was already collapsing. Running for his life he threw himself under a fire truck only to be dug out hours later. William described the horror of what he experienced. Leaving the building one time he was told not to look back. Looking back, he saw the bodies of those who had jumped, hardly recognisable, just their clothes, as if they had physically melted into the ground.

He saw one of the people he had rescued, a blonde woman cut in half by a falling sheet of glass. All his testimony was heard by the 9/11 Commission, behind closed doors, over two hours. As were the testimonies of many of the firemen. None of it was apparently worthy of mention in the final report - or even in public. He is certain he heard and experienced many explosions. He lost 200 friends that day.

Everyone who hears his story must question the official story. Anyone who has spent some hours on it will know it is these stories of the ordinary, committed people that will make the difference to the truth rather than the testimony from the military brass or quotes from Dick Cheney or George Bush. Many have spoken out. Many have yet to. Maybe you know something that has not come out yet. Tell me. I will find where it fits. I want to know what really happened.
