Friday 10th December - WOW (Wyke Organic Waste) AGM
|
|
WOW (Wyke Organic Waste) AGM Friday 10th December at 6.30pm
To be held at the Thorpes Resource Centre, Orchard Park Estate, Hull
|
|
Wyke Organic Waste plans to collect and compost both kitchen and garden waste
from around 10,000 households in Hull, creating high quality organic
compost that will be available for sale across the city.
The organisation will also run community allotments and a market garden,
providing training and employment for the local community in the Wyke,
West and North Hull areas of the city.
In carrying out this vital environmental work the organisation is assisting
the Local Authority to meet Government targets on the Recycled Waste Framework
Directive (91/962/EEC).
|
|
Supported by and working in partnership with organisations such as Hull City
Council Waste Management, Hull DOC, Friends of the Earth and the Yorkshire
Wildlife Trust, Wyke Organic Waste is holding it's Annual General Meeting
at the Thorpes Resource Centre on Orchard Park Estate.
|
The meeting will begin at 6.30pm, and is open to anyone interested in the
work of the organisations and their plans.
