Urgent Appeal - Football Kit for Hull Asylum Seeker Support Group

Hull Asylum Seeker Support Group (HASSG) is running a football team this year in conjunction with the Refugee Council. Their first game is due this Saturday (9th September) but funders have left them high and dry regarding money to purchase team kits, boots, balls, goal nets, etc.

Therefore, the team is in need of emergency sponsorship or donations in order to prevent it from folding.
Andy Martin, volunteer and director of the support group says: It would be a great shame if this was to happen as the team consists of Iraqi, Iranian and Congolese refugees with British, Irish and Brazilian involvement too. We feel the team would go a long way to promoting community cohesion.
We currently train once a week but most of our players play in jeans and shoes because they cannot afford to buy trainers, shorts, t-shirts. This is why the funding was essential with regard to buying team kit.

Basically we are looking for some emergency sponsorship or donations so that we can buy some kit for Saturday. We would also be grateful to anyone who could donate any kit or other relevant items.
If you can help, please contact Andy Martin on 07764 492606 or (01482) 319523 or email centre167@yahoo.co.uk.
