PRESS RELEASE - HULL AND EAST RIDING GREEN PARTY - Cyclists clock up green miles
|
Four hardy green party supporters who completed a gruelling 175 mile sponsored ride in support of
Hull North PPC Martin Deane will be guests of honour at a special
...Rock the Vote! night at the New Adelphi on SATURDAY APRIL 30TH April, De Grey Street.
The sponsored ride took place over Easter weekend in poor weather conditions.
Martin Deane, who joined the cyclists for their first day, says ...
I never thought I’d be so pleased to get to Doncaster!
|

Left to Right: Martin Deane, Arthur Wood, Paddy Holdsworth, Mark Hankinson, Benjie Dudgeon, Huw Pritchard.
|
|
The route took us through a dis-used airfield, sleepy villages, chalk tracks, railway tracks,
and a lot of demanding terrain. One bike had to be replaced and taken away for repairs -
and all this in the rain!
I would like to thank everyone for making such a huge effort to offer a real alternative
for Hull North at the next election
The ...Rock the Vote! event will combine two popular music nights, Elobo and Funky,
who are coming together to promote politics to first time voters, encouraging them to use their right to vote.
|
Martin says ...Green policies appeal to younger voters because they appreciate the importance
of a sustainable future. We simply can not go on savaging the planet - and other countries - to fuel our greed.
