FISH KILLER ON THE LOOSE?

Followers of the famous Hull Fish Trail were horrified yesterday when they found a mutilated haddock at the end of their trail. The fish was over 2 pounds in weight and had been placed there deliberately, according to police experts.

The haddock had been cut several times across the underside with a sharp blade, and wrapped in a red lacy thong. Police are hoping this is just a silly prank and not something more sinister.

A police spokesman said : I've found a lot of things in my time, some of which were very unsavoury. But a lacerated haddock in a back alley? No!
