Screen Yorkshire Launch Skillset TV Freelance Funding

Through the Skillset TV Freelance Fund, Screen Yorkshire offers a totally tailored approach to training freelancers in our region. Support available includes training needs analysis, advice on courses and financial support (up to 70% subject to eligibility).

Training packages offer a range of options including scheduled short courses, one to one bespoke support, online learning or work based skills development. Recent courses attended include 'HDW 750 ' Operational training at Sheffield College; Adobe Premier at Planet PC, Birkenshaw; BBC Health and Safety Awareness for Costume and Makeup; Documentary and Factual Production Management at the NFTS.
We have also worked in partnership with Bill Curtis Associates and ITV Yorkshire to run a 1-day Studio Pedestal Camera Operations course at the ITV Studios in Leeds.

We welcome applications to this fund from disabled freelancers who are currently underrepresented in the regional workforce. (Skillset's 2005 Survey of the Audio Visual Industries Workforce)
