The Revoffs - Another thisisUll Success Story
By Michelle Dee

Local musician Steve Minns used to spend hours in his bedroom recording writing and recording demos with his pal Danny Sheehan. The pair continued developing ideas until deciding they needed more people to make a real band. Where did they go to find these new members? None other than the thisisUll.com Classified.

By simply putting an ad in thisisUll.com Classified the band found exactly what they were looking for.
Now five months on, the band named The Revoffs feature regularly on the local circuit obtaining more and more prestigious dates.

This is borne out by a recent support slot with the Nightflying southerners Wolf Gang at the Lamp on 3rd May, airplay on Radio Humberside's Raw Talent, increased activity on their Myspace/Facebook network sites and teaming up with major retailers holding inventive money spinners at gigs.

The Revoffs are to join a host of other leading local acts for the Cottingham Springboard Music Festival 09 commencing the weekend beginning 29th May 2009, closing May 31st.
The festival now in its 4th year, boasts over 200 acts playing at 6 different venues throughout the weekend. You can catch The Revoffs on Saturday 30th at Cross Keys in Cottingham.

For something a little more refined you can find Steve and his cohorts playing the hugely popular Stripped night on 18th June. An acoustic speciality much loved by musicians and fans alike held down at the Wellington Inn in Hull.

They describe their sound as being pretty stripped down with an early sixties power kick: top summer surf-pop due to the huge amount of reverb during live shows.
The Revoffs are Paul Featherstone (vocals), Steve Minns (bass/backing vocals), Chris Flynn (drums) and Danny Sheehan (guitar). They are currently pushing Letterbox a professionally recorded three track demo: with the tracks Caravan and Perfect Match and the title track Letterbox. The Revoffs are currently writing new material and looking forward to an exciting summer of electrifying performances.
See thisisUll's Classified Section for more details of The Revoffs live dates.
