Despite being heavily pregnant, Angela put in a blistering performance on the flute, with this show being her last for quite some time, given the time off from work that having a baby necessitates. Still, she played like a trooper, and understandably received a huge round of applause as a result, underpinning many of the songs in the second half of the show with her trademark flute melodies. Carpe Diem slammed into Nowhere To Hide, then the high-octane anthem Broken Glass preceded Never The Rainbow and Out of The Inn with a bang.

Still, it had to be Heroes Never Die that provided the most moving part of the show, with Bryan dedicating the epic masterpiece - as always - to his father. An astonishing song, it blossoms from humble beginnings into a truly swaggering, electrifying number that can't fail to affect people at a base level. The emotion is instantly felt, hitting the spot in a similar way to The Living Years by Mike and The Mechanics, except that Heroes Never Die is far bolder and spirited in every respect.

Following another brief break, the band then launched into Broken, prior to dedicating Mother Nature to Jean Taylor, the incredible lady who handles the band's PR with such grace. In the end, the band didn't leave the stage until almost 11 p.m., ensuring that value-for-money had been had like never before. Duly taking their bows, those in the crowd who weren't already standing leapt to their feet, paying their respects with a standing ovation, clapping and cheering for more.

In all its audio-visual splendour, it had been a killer show and then some.
