What's in the stars is never meant to be, so croons Marshals band-leader Michael John. That might be the case, just like this song might literally Make Her Cry - whoever she might be, for this is an extraordinarily moving tune that is proving to be a wise choice for the band's debut single release, given the widespread acclaim that it's receiving.

The Marshals is an Irish trio, and aside from Michael John on vocals and guitar, there is James O'Brien on bass and Barry Dillon on drums. Interestingly, the band used to be known as The Marshal Stars; that was until another band played up about these three lads using such a name.

Thus, The Marshals entity was born, and the rest might come to be history, even if we've got to patiently wait until Summer '06 for the debut album. In the meantime, seek out Make Her Cry and cherish such tenderly-executed sentiments therein. www.themarshals.co.uk
