Young People Wanted For Shanty Groove Crew

HumberSound are looking for young people aged 11 to 16 to take part in the Shanty Groove Crew project working in partnership with The Deep, Hull Sea Fever Festival 2006 and Hull City Arts. The project will take place at The Deep and Hull City Centre from Tuesday 29th August to Sunday 3rd September inclusive. It runs from 10.00am to 4.00pm and the cost is £10 per person.

Come and join us on our musical adventure as we travel back in time and find out what life used to be like sailing the seven seas many years ago.
HumberSound will lead you through this historic song trail which will culminate in performances in Hull City Centre at BBC Blast which is the BBC's new multimedia truck facility, Creative Voice stage in Queens Gardens and Hull Sea Fever Festival 2006 in the Hull Marina.

Joining the Shanty Groove Crew will be your passport to exploring your maritime heritage learning songs of the past and performing them to audiences of the present.
