The set couldn't have been more varied as Lamp proudly presents Garden Gang and The Tommys, one high energy glam punk rock fest, and the other contemporary girl rock that'll knock your socks off! German born band Garden Gang kick off their set with a mixture of influences including American 50's rock'n'roll, 70's punk and the new wave of the early 80's to produce something totally different. Hugely individual as the band really make an effort to create their own style and Pamp blasts out lyrics that are personal, well thought through and really tell a story.

The crowd start to warm up and nod along as the energetic tunes take them over, and after their set, they get a great reception. The band is currently touring but their album Shoppers United is available to buy now. After leaving the stage, the crowd returns to the bar for another drink and begin to scatter back to their seats as The Tommys begin their set. They don't stay away for long though as the crowd starts to heave with people trying to get a closer look at The Tommys and their unique brand of female, high energy punk rock that hits you in the face and left us all cheering for more. These four gorgeous girls were captivating on stage and their unique brand of heavy guitars with even heavier vocals is like nothing else around.

Kinda a mixture between a younger version of Debbie Harry and an even better version of Greenday, these girls are gonna be huge. With a drummer that's seriously pissed off at her drums, a lead singer with tons of attitude and big hair, these girls left us all in a whirlwind of female rock power and sex appeal that seduced us all.

With guitar solos and a big finale by the drummer, the lead singer Jess finishes off their set by jumping down into the crowd and setting the place ablaze. After being hit with their rock tornado we were all left dazed at these girls, and I can't wait to see them again. Not to be missed, they'll be headlining Leeds in a few years, for sure.
