As if the amazing songs weren't enough, the huge stage-set was stunning, given the monumental back-drop of screens and spectacular lighting that brought the show to life all the more. Breathlessly staged from start to finish, there barely seemed to be a three-second gap between each song, and as far as value-for-money concerts go, this delivered on all levels... even though many people were disgruntled at the fact that all remaining tickets had been sold at half-price (in the last few days to the gig) if they had paid full-whack for their tickets when they first went on-sale.

Still, at the end of the night, whatever anybody had paid for their ticket, Bon Jovi had put on one hell of a thrilling and genuinely unforgettable show. I, for one, didn't want the night to end. So let's just hope that the BJ boys consider coming to Hull again when they're next on tour... www.bonjovi.com
