Friday 13th October, unlucky for some, but not for The Automatic fans who were treated to a flamboyant 50 minute set from the Cardiff born quartet. Support was from two bands, one of which was so crap we can't even remember the name. The other of which was amazing - Mumm-ra

... Don't even ask me what the name means- it's a Topcat character you should know by now... Niall Richey Buckler, front man of Mumm-ra provided a lively set filled with plastic ducks, harmonica's, tambourines and mouth piano's to warm up for the big boys, who entered the Asylum stage to a story about Wales ... or some shit. Beginning with a fresh new song, The Automatic's set was filled with sweat, energy and a Kanye West cover of Goldigga.

Finishing their set with a three song encore ending with Recover, their triumphant summin summin bollocks ... I don't know. The end. By the way, the after party was at Pozition where the fucking Landaus played! www.theautomatic.co.uk
