During Back in power I watched the drumsticks shred as the skins were beaten manically. No problems with the sound tonight everything could be heard loud and clear. The lead guitarist was smoking whilst playing, just like Slash:, used to do.

His long mane of jet black hair covering his face: a bugger when you're trying to take photos. His fingers moved like forked lightning when playing the solo lead sections. The bassist had a look of Sid Vicious about him, but unlike the departed Pistol this guy could play. Guitar necks flashed among grinding bass-lines, echoic riffs and cries for more.
The five-piece played the crowd perfectly, giving them encore after encore. Stand out songs were without a doubt Love Yourself, Still Thinking About You, and one I think was called Need somebody like you. The crowd reached out to touch the charismatic singer as he brought the set to a close; pointing skyward The Glitterati: left them yelling for more.

Very glittery very funky very cool ace Their really dirty, and glittery but very now in terms of what's going on in the music scene. Holly
They were cool I enjoyed it There a bit different to everything else we been hearing like Razorlight and The Killers, Katy Drama student from Bolton

They were really good better than last time they played more action, more confident and loud I like the drummer, love drummers. Rachel avid Blink 182 fan.

Ohh Glitterati were fantastic, they really really were. They lit up the whole room didn't they. We went down and we rocked to their music. They were a bit like Lost Prophets. I would definitely go and see them again.
The rest of the night was over to Ted in the DJ box, highlight of his set for me was New Order's Blue Monday that brought a cheer to my slightly spoilt evening. I met up with Dean assistant manager at Linnet.

I was surprised when he informed me it was his birthday. I told him he looked great for twenty-eight; I got slightly more of a surprise when he said he knew my brother and therefore knew me ten years ago. Thankfully he was very gracious and I spent a while with him reminiscing about Cask Bar.
I actually had a really good night apart from that idiot trying to molest me. Mel Sleaze went on a mission to pin as many Sweet n Sour: badges on people as she could, last time I saw her she was all out of badges so I guess she completed it successfully.

I learned from an ardent Blink 182 fan that her favourite band were to split, luckily someone stepped in and gave her a Placebo badge which meant that she retained her smile.
I learned a few sweet and sour facts from her too. At the beginning of the night our benevolent hosts provide baskets of Drumstick lollys for your delectation then, as home time beckons they provide orange/lemon quarters for your refreshment.

How cool is that I ask you? Get yourself down to Sils they got some great bands coming up, including the jaw dropping Ernest: on the nineteenth of March.
