There are several hiccups throughout the set, you can appreciate that Andy has far to many songs going through his head, trying to remember which bits go where, is obviously going to be hard. He is a determined artist who can appreciate his faults on stage and make light of them, apologise and do anything that is possible to finish the set, including going acapella.

If you want a good time with friends, a beer, beach and barbeque, invite Andy along and the smiles will be a plenty.

Finally headliners Park and Ride arrive on stage to close the evening's entertainment. I had heard a lot about this local group but never actually had the chance to see them for myself. From the word go there was an understanding why this band have gained quite a following. If a cover of the song Bad Guys, from the motion picture Bugsy Malone isn't enough to grab your attention, then nothing will. For some reason I felt that Park and Ride reminded me slightly (very slightly) of T-Rex. They've managed to link this rock 'n' roll sound and give it an almost folk rock edge, something that could perhaps be found on Greenday's Warning album.

It's also great to see a band with a keyboard player who stays involved with the music throughout the set, even if it is just keeping a beat on the tambourine, it makes for excellent eye fodder to see the whole band participating.

Park and Ride don't in anyway seem to take themselves seriously, with songs entitled I am the Buttbanger; you can see the anti-rock star ethos pull through. All though not taking themselves seriously, the music is extremely tight and up lifting, which proves that music matters more than image. The chugging new wave bass sound supported by a Gibson guitar brings a Brit pop element to the sound but in all honesty the sound Park and Ride produce is unique.

A big crowd pleaser, the group interacts with the audience and participate as much as possible in order to create a sense of fun. After just witnessing one Park and Ride performance, its easy to understand why the band has a devoted following. A great night again provided by The Sesh and no doubt next Tuesday will hold the same welcoming and warm environment.
