The Simple Things is met with more cheers of appreciation and chants of Blue Army ring out across the Scarborough beach. After singing Cut some Rug some fan calls out to Mark to share his drink. Nah nah I'm not sharing me Brandy he says in his cockney drawl. During one number with childlike glee he pops his cheek with his finger. The crowd went crazy for Slight Return and I too found myself dancing like a loon singing fit to burst. As seems to be the unwritten rule the Bluetones finished with If.

Always a huge favourite, some over eager fan shouts for it within the first four songs, If finally did set Scarborough alight and that night as the fire jugglers wove circles of flame the right place to be seen was definitely Scarborough Beached Festival. To all those who have waited to read this review I thank you for your patience to all those who made it possible for me to be a part of this years Beached I thank you too. Also my thanks go to all the musicians both signed and unsigned local and from further a field who have left me with some fabulous memories of the music, the people, and the place.
