I wake up knowing that today, my band will be playing Leeds Festival and an unidentifiable shudders ripples through me. Fear? Anticipation? Cold? I really don't know.
We head out into the arena and I grab a wholesome breakfast of a baked potato with chilli.
Nice. Then Em and I dash across to the Unsigned Stage where Last People On Earth are opening the day's proceedings.
Despite being one of the most popular and well established bands on the Hull scene, I've never had the pleasure of catching them before. It proves to be one of the highlights of my weekend, although when I tell frontman Paddy that they sound like a weird Ben Folds Five he doesn't seem too impressed.

Last People On Earth have some great songs and Paddy is an obscenely magnetic frontman, offering such pearls of wisdom as "when you get back to work, quit your job" mid song. At one point he exclaims "werewolves at the perimeter!" It's not the first time that he's alerted us all to the presence of the beasts during this excessive weekend.

Over on the Main Stage, Biffy Clyro take to the stage a little earlier than scheduled
and so I dart into the crowd with James Turismo and Em and leave Dave where I was meant to meet him.
I feel bad but he doesn't seem to mind too much.
Biffy Clyro have been one of my favourite bands since I went to see them at Asylum

The crowd sing the words back at the band as they would do for a headline act and it's only just gone 2 in the afternoon. It might be great songs or great fans, but I suspect it's a combination of the two.

Biffy over with we race back to the Unsigned Stage to watch Mr. Mojo. They get the crowd smiling and nodding along with their stylish pop rock. Once again it's great to see the Hull contingent out in support.
I stick with the Unsigned stage and await the arrival of Turismo.
They draw a good crowd and play a bombastic set, Chinese Torture being the highlight. James Turismo later tells me that his nerves were terrible and his knees nearly went in the first couple of songs, but watching from out front you would never have known.

Baggot gives The Favours a shout out and tells people to come and see us later, once again highlighting the great network of support the Hull bands show each other. And by god, I hope people come see us.
Dave and Martin head off to get the equipment in preparation for our set and Em and Beccy head to the toilets leaving me alone. I don't know where Sara is. I stick around the Unsigned Stage for the next little while, not really watching any bands, my nerves deteriorating like old fruit.
