Upfront apologies to those bands and artists that haven't made the nominees list this year. Please take on board the fact that there are so many of you in the city now, and therefore it's impossible to accommodate everyone. NB: The Paddingtons, Freaks Union and Fonda 500 haven't been included due to the national acclaim they've already achieved. All credit to them for the attention they've brought upon the city. On the subject of The Padds', I'm glad to see Marv is well on the mend following his Grapevine slashing and I heard this week that Tom and the boys have been rubbing shoulders with The Strokes just of late.

Their singles and first album have all been well received. Their tour, by all accounts was sold out throughout. Gigs in Japan and France this Xmas should cement their celebrity status further. Good luck to them!
