The Grapevine has it all. You can chat 'n' chill in the lounge, or prat 'n' pogo in the main room to the audio delights on offer. What more d'ya want? The music - the people, all of it's been bang on. The year itself, musically, has been incredible. All genres, I feel, have levelled out and the local bands and artists have left good impressions on us all.

The Sesh Awards 2005 I've given this a great deal of thought and I'd like to attempt it. If anything, to create debate, gain more interest, and provide evidence to a healthy local scene that's been created at The Sesh.

The list of nominees have been compiled by myself, and I aim to announce the winners in the new year at a special Sesh ceremony in January '06. More details to follow on www.myspace.com/maks33onions over the next few weeks. You can add your own votes to a punters poll on the site. Categories include: Best Live Set, Best Acoustic Performance, Best Band, Best Solo Artist, Best Album, Best Track and Best Newcomers. Who am I to say who's the best? I've just been fortunate enough to witness talent close up on a weekly basis.

Whether you agree with the nominees is up to you. Music is a very personal thing. This is just how I've seen it at The Sesh.
