Blue Sand came back on stage, I thought my lungs would burst and my heart explode
in my chest, as they played the first few chords of Wrong Trousers.
A proper encore from Blue Sand; something I've never witnessed before.
Incredible, overwhelming, choose any superlative to describe the trip to Liverpool, none
would do justice to the magic that we experienced that night.

|
|
Absolutely mega Park and Ride and Blue Sand kick ass! They really rock I love 'em.
Khagool were also good.
Excellent, excellent, every band was brilliant like, know what I mean? They had a good crowd behind them and excellent, excellent brilliant!
Park and Ride are as good as Kebab and chips.
|
|
Couple from Liverpool:
It was good I enjoyed them I've never seen or heard of the bands before. We enjoyed them really I didn't think they were too bad...I thought the sound quality was a bit like the Cavern's usual...the drums too loud and the vocalist sounds a bit too loud but I enjoyed the songs though I did enjoy the songs.
I then asked them about what was great about living in Liverpool...
The art, everything about the art, because they have so much. It's the culture, ha ha ha ha, the music and the alcohol.

|
|
Look out for the double Aside single featuring Park and Ride and Blue Sand
to be put out in conjunction with U.T.I. (Under the Influence)
Many thanks to Dean and Gups, for organising this leg of the Manners Cost F*ck All tour.
Thanks also to my fellow passengers on the coach, we had a ball; I hope you all think so.
I swear down, I feel quite emotional about you all.
A special mention must go to the Driver Dave, who stoically put up with all the noise and
other unruly behaviour, not usually associated with coach riding.
|
|
To Park and Ride a massive cheer for being great guys, the same goes to
Blue Sand.
After being dropped off I walked home at 3am on the Sunday morning.
I bumped into a guitarist outside Piper Newland Avenue: it turned out to be Chris from The Morphines.
He played awhile then bid me a fond farewell; proving once again that the Hull crowd is the best.

Once again, Sweet and Sour at The Welly have provided the people of Britain's
critically acclaimed crappest town with another great line up including one of
Britain's hottest new bands.
I've heard that Bloc Party are the favourite band of the kid who plays
Harry Potter in the films, and as I stand in the queue

Music Reviews - Saturday 9th October - still life and Sidewinder at Silhouette By Michelle Dee
|
|
As the strains of Coldplay faded at the hands of the in house deejay the crowd waits in
mild anticipation for the live stuff.
So following the intro..a band with intro music that roused the crowd especially
when played twice.. still life took to the stage; they look good in-between
their rather

Music Reviews - The Zutons and Little Flames at Asylum - Monday 18th October By Andy Dykes, Photos by Darren Rogers
|
|
The sky is black and clear tonight. This means that for the first time in a while, the stars are being given
the chance to shine on Hull. This also means that it's pretty bitter outside.
Inside Asylum tonight, it doesn't seem to be any warmer.
Maybe that's why so many people are huddled together so closely? Or maybe

Music Reviews - The 22-20s, Cathy Davey and Willy Mason - Thursday 14th October - Sweet n Sour at The Welly By Andy Dykes, Photos by Darren Rogers
|
|
Outside The Welly Club tonight, people huddle together or dance absent-mindedly on the spot.
It's dark and it's cold.
But there's good reason to be braving the elements tonight.
The buzz surrounding The 22-20s is increasing so steadily, it's becoming more like a roar.
And the interest isn't lost on the good people of Hull who flock

Music Reviews - The Sunnyside Of The Day By Nicholas Boldock
|
|
First things first: I've had a really shit day. Having been in negotiations with a certain Hull-based
company regarding possible employment, today it all went tits up as they pulled the plug and informed
me that, after three meetings with various luminaries from the firm, my services would not be required

Music Reviews - Park and Ride, Blue Sand and David Devant and his Spirit Wife, SweetNSour 7th Oct By Michelle Dee
|
|
Arriving at 9pm the Welly looked bleak and unpromising.
A few people stood between the cold metal railings used to slow down the club-goers
in their desire to get inside.
Mo, my photographer for the night, and I dutifully joined what was the makings of a queue.
With a rail on either side we were not unlike lambs or pigs

Beverley Road.
