Night Clubs - 26th August 05 - Eat Your Words at The Welly By Diane

What a night to remember! If you enjoy continuous dance music then get yourself down to Eat Your Words at the Welly Club on Beverley Road and dance the night away like I did. Very friendly staff as I entered the building. Somewhere to drop your bag and coat and helpful staff at the bar if you're like me and can never decide what you want to drink! A kind lass behind the bar offered me a glass of Red Bull taste-alike and for those of us who drive everywhere it was very nice indeed.

There were 2 dance floors, well separated; one is hard and fast with great euphoria and the other (The Lounge) had better air conditioning with very interesting and dancy music - at least it and gave me a moment to catch my breath! I must add a great Thank You to a the cool ladies wandering around offering us all double ice lollies on stick - very, very grateful, thank you very much!

In the Lounge I got the chance to speak to Neil - without him this whole experience would not be happening - a fantastic bloke who told me that after the next Eat Your Words (Friday 23rd September) he will be talking a few months out to have a well deserved thinking break. He also told me that the motor cycle rallies have been a great success and we all agree that we want to see Neil and the Eat Your Words company a lot more at these events in the future.

Also in the lounge (probably because it's slightly quieter) I met up with Pez, one of the DJ's who is always smiling and really cares that you have a great time - I loved his sounds and enjoyed dancing thoroughly in the Lounge - with others like Funkarama with Neil, Lil Nicky and big smiles from DJ Nicky B. Amongst others in the Main Room I enjoyed Conrad and Russ banging on with atmosphere - with their arms in the air ... a great atmosphere and a brilliant night. I also enjoyed talking with Rocket Ron.

I suppose these days you can't imagine a night that's full to the brim with good people, no trouble, loads of great tunes and a sound atmosphere. I would certainly give it 9 out of 10. Remember that this week's Eat Your Words is going to be on hell of a party so get yourself there!
