An absolutely stunning track, that is right up there. Someone had a genius day with this one. I was going to mention the drums on as well, but I'd go on for a bit too long to honest. They're really, really good as well. It's like someone with Turret's of the thigh. In track 3, Closure, Ernie really do see how much they can get out of their new drummer. The song starts off like a jam session that goes a little bit too well, mixing suspiciously energetic drum beats with powerful chugs of guitar that race all over the shop. Then it gets a bit like Motorhead, but without the crapness.

Played at such a pace, I bet you that this song cannot be done live without the lead singer's head turning purple. Also there's this great bit in it, where you think he may have said blow job glass cut which keeps disturbing me.

Anyway, in summary Blind Frog Ernie's 5.1 is a bit of a treat. It is a weird infusion of gritty atmospheric guitars, drums that leap all over the inherent rhythms in us all making you spasm in peculiar ways, and vocals that are annoyingly good. 5.1's new recoding line up have gone and created a little bit more than a record this time round. They've gone and created a need. Like every good act, they've left us wanting more.

5.1 will be on sale, at the launch gig held at Hull's White Room on 29th April.
