still life at Best Original Band Competition - 31st March Springhead, Aston Road, Willerby

Highly rated local band still life return to action next week with an appearance at the Best Original Band competition at the Springhead, Aston Road, Willerby, on 31st March. Formed in 1998, still life consist of vocalist Paul Terry, bassist and vocalist James Paddison, drummer Phil Bean and guitarists Andy Clark and Mike Richmond.

Their music has been described as somewhere between REM and Pink Floyd, combining mainstream melodies with the occasional air of experimentalism.

The band has a colourful history, having played venues ranging from the Adelphi to Hull City Hall and having supported acts such as highly rated newcomers Adom to a fledgling Atomic Kitten back in 2000! The next step for the band is the release of their fourth CD, entitled At The Wheel. It is planned for release on the day of the Springhead performance and is expected to sell out soon.
