Break Even - A Local Band Bio - Plus Gig Dates

Break Even is a 4 piece rock 'n' roll band based in Hull, East Yorkshire. Our music lies closer to the garage rock scene but we do not like to categorise our music into any specific group, as our main concentration is on the song writing.

The band was formed in January 2003 and we have been gigging since January 2004. We have played with many bands, our favourite being Jet Plane Landing and soon we will be supporting The Dead Pets in Goole.

We also had an opportunity to play with The Ordinary Boys at The Kazbah in Scarborough in March 2004, but the gig was cancelled due to The Kazbah being sold a week before the gig. Having played many gigs in our home town of Hull we are keen to play further a field as this will help us to become more recognisable in other towns and cities.

Hopefully this will lead us on to play at larger venues with larger crowds and this will help us to gain more confidence as a band. We are planning to record our first EP in the near future, consisting of 4 songs. We have had interest from different radio stations and venues willing to play our tracks. On the EP we are hoping to capture a live sound, as this is what we would consider represents Break Even; a live band.
